24 June 2025 — CybernaX joined the 4th Annual Extra-Hepatic Lipid-Based Nanoparticles Delivery Summit in Boston, Massachusetts, with Dr. Pengbo Guo presenting Breathing New Life into Pulmonary Disease Patients with Lipid-Based Inhalation Systems for Effective Lung Targeting.
The talk focused on the practical obstacles that decide whether an inhaled nucleic acid product works at all: whether the drug survives aerosolization, whether it crosses the mucosal barrier, and whether it reaches the intended cell type rather than depositing unevenly across the respiratory tract. Dr. Guo described how CybernaX designs an inhalation system for stability and reduced immunogenicity, so that a pulmonary therapy can be given repeatedly rather than once.
Dr. Guo also joined the panel discussion Navigating Formulation, CMC and Regulatory Challenges: Overcoming Barriers to Adopt New Delivery Systems, alongside speakers from Novo Nordisk, Cytodigm and Orbital Therapeutics. The discussion turned on a question that matters commercially as much as scientifically — what a CMC platform has to look like for a novel formulation to scale at consistent quality, and what evidence justifies the added formulation and regulatory workload of moving to a next-generation delivery system.
It is a question CybernaX designs for from the start: lipids are selected with scale-up synthesis and specification control in mind, not only in vivo performance.
About CybernaX
CybernaX Biotechnologies develops non-viral nucleic acid delivery technology, built on two lipid platforms: ELITE (CX Ionizable Lipid), an embodied-AI screened ionizable lipid library, and ENDURE (CX Stabilizing Lipid), a PEG-free monodisperse lipid built for long-term repeat dosing. The company licenses and co-develops its lipid platforms with biopharmaceutical and biotechnology partners worldwide.
